The Great Canadian Last Waltz has evolved from The Last Prairie Waltz, to travel across Canada and celebrate the timeless, brilliant music of The Band and their final legendary concert-The Last Waltz, while shining a spotlight on the rich tradition of Canadian-made original songs that continue to shape our culture.
2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of The Last Waltz.
This powerful show brings together an all-star lineup of professional touring artists, songwriters, and legendary musicians who proudly call Canada home. Spanning generations and crossing the boundaries of genres, this cast is united by a common bond: the music itself—the magic it creates, the world it brings together, and the unforgettable songs it inspires.
With deep respect and reverence for The Band, their spirit, and the era they embodied, this homegrown, world-class lineup brings the songs of The Band and The Last Waltz to life with authenticity, passion, and their own unique Canadian artistry.
The show has been performed to Sold Out crowds at The Broadway Theatre (Saskatoon, SK), and Darke Hall (Regina, SK). As this show performs across Canada, there will me many sold out rooms and many great musical memories shared.
The vision of The Last Prairie Waltz is to carry this production across Canada, inviting great artists and musicians from every corner of the country to join the cast and celebrate our shared musical legacy.
Our goal is to support the local professional music industry, wherever The Great Canadian Waltz
may land.
